How to go to dolomite beach manila from binondo chinatown

Riding public transportation in the Philippines can be quite confusing. As a local Filipino I have visited Chinatown in Binondo, Manila for many times and have familiarized the city for years of living here. I made this post so that tourists like you will be guided. I know you are excited to see this new attraction which is the Manila Baywalk Dolomite white sand beach facing the beautiful Manila bay sunset. I will share with you on how you can easily go to Dolomite beach from Binondo in this blog post.

If you are in Binondo, Chinatown, go to the Binondo church and then cross the pedestrian going to the other direction of the park (Plaza Lorenzo Ruiz). You will see the Mcdonalds Binondo along Juan Luna street. Distance from Binondo to Dolomite beach is only 3.8 kilometers. You will see people standing and waiting for jeepney ride. Do the same and look for the following routes that you can ride to go to Dolomite beach:

1.) Jeepney route – Baclaran-Divisoria via Mabini:

This is probably the ideal route you can take if you want to be closer to the Dolomite beach is a jeepney that passes through Mabini street. Mabini street is a very long street and you must only tell the driver to drop you off at corner Padre Faura street specifically. Alight at BDO bank Padre Faura-A. Mabini branch (however, you will be walking from the Lotus Hotel at Padre Faure Street which is located across the BDO bank), then continue walking through Padre Faura street for 220 meters towards Roxas Boulevard direction where you will pass by 3 blocks in Padre Faura street to reach the Dolomite beach.

Tip: You can also ask a local to point the direction to Roxas boulevard because you want to go to the Dolomite beach.

At the first block, you will pass by a Mercury Drug, an Asian Oriental Mart. At the second block, you will pass by an EastWest bank, the third block, you will pass by UCPB bank and then a few walk you will see the Metrobank at the end of Padre Faura street where you will reach Roxas Boulevard. You will know you’ve reached Roxas Boulevard because there are many vehicles such as cars, trucks passing by.

Walk towards the left side of the service road along Roxas Boulevard from Metrobank (If you walk right side, you will see the US Embassy). Walk for 300 meters then you will see a footbridge, you can go there at the Filipino-American Friendship Footbridge to pass by Roxas Boulevard. At the end of the footbridge, you have arrived at the Dolomite beach.

Jeepney fare: Minimum fare only for P12 per person

However, the Baclaran-Divisoria via Mabini route is sometimes available. The waiting time for you might take a little longer than usual routes. More or less, it should not exceed 30 minutes of waiting from Mcdonald’s Binondo.

2.) Riding the e-tricycle or e-trike as the locals called it that has a signboard of any Pedro Gil, UN Avenue, Mabini.

If you don’t want to wait long for the jeepney, e-trike is frequently seen in Binondo area. Head again to the Mcdonald’s Binondo where you would wait for jeepneys but this time you will ride in an e-trike that has signboard infront that says Pedro Gil or UN Avenue. Ask the e-trike driver to bring you to the Dolomite beach or closer. Sometimes they will agree to drop you off to your desired final destination for an additional charge. However, if you are commuting and sharing the ride with other passengers, then you will only get off at the Padre Faura Street corner Mabini Street (same with the instruction in the number 1 above). Please remind the driver to drop you off at the BDO Padre Faura-A. Mabini branch.

Alight at BDO bank Padre Faura-A. Mabini branch, then start walking along Padre Faura street for 220 meters from Lotus Hotel towards the right side when you get off from the jeepney (to Roxas Boulevard) where you will walk 3 blocks in Padre Faura street to reach the Dolomite beach. You can also ask a local to point the direction to Roxas boulevard because you want to go to the Dolomite beach.

At the first block, you will pass by a Mercury Drug, an Asian Oriental Mart. At the second block, you will pass by an EastWest bank, the third block, you will pass by UCPB bank and then few walk you will see the Metrobank at the end of Padre Faura street where you will reach Roxas Boulevard. You will know you’ve reached Roxas Boulevard becayse there are many vehicles such as cars, trucks passing by.

At the end of the footbridge, you have arrived at the Dolomite beach.

e-trike fare: Minimum P20 (depends on the asking price of the driver it could go up to P50 per person)

If you want cheap travel, I suggest that you take the public jeepney in the Philippines. If you want convenient and comfortable travel, then you can always choose to ride in a taxi or Grab car (book a ride via Grab app). Though it is going to be more expensive. They may charge you between P200-P300 per ride (maybe less). It is recommended if you are traveling in a group since jeepneys from Binondo tend to get easily full during peak hours.
