If like me your a keen do it yourself man,one of the main problems can be a lack of space to store all your hand tools. You may have built some shelves or cupboards in you garage, but these spaces soon fill up.
Why not create more space by attempting to build a garden shed, this can act as an extra storage area or it could even be turned into a workshop if you have the space to build a larger shed.If you decide to use a shed as a workshop you will have to remember to position it in a part of your garden that is not too far away from the house as you will most likely have to run electricity cables to it,& you don’t want to dig up a long trench the full length of your garden to sit the cables in.
Make sure that it is not too close to any fences or trees & you have plenty of light flooding into the shed too, especially if you decide to turn it into a home workshop .Although you can build on a sloping garden,it is much easier & cheaper to try & find the most level piece of land you can.
If you shop around at various different Diy stores or wood yards, you may be surprised to find you can actually buy the wood much cheaper than you expected,& if built correctly it will probably be a lot stronger than a ready made shed bought in a shop.
